Setting up shop

I’ve always enjoyed having hobbies, making things, knitting, sewing, baking and photography. I have decided to take a leap of faith and turn one of my hobbies into something more productive. Verymissberry children’s wear. I have a background in textiles, so its about time I used it. I’ll be starting out with harems, shorts and bloomers, but hope to make rompers and girls tops, logo shirts and a few more bits, all in sizes 0-3 to 4 years.

Having two boys and finding it increasingly frustrating to find exciting clothes that are fun and colourful has driven me to start making things myself. I felt like there was a gap in the market for something a little more bohemian for boys. It’s all blue or denim. I don’t have anything against either, but I don’t see why the sex of our children has to be stereotyped at such a young age. Boys can wear red, yellow and pink, just as girls can wear blue, black and purple.  Of course it’s not all for the boys.

Verymissberry launched on the 1st August at You are welcome to contact me through my blog, etsy or Facebook page regarding fabrics or custom orders. I understand not everyone has an Instagram, so I am working towards a store here on my blog, as well as an easy sale store.
